The evidence

A record you can check.

Campaigns make a lot of claims about leadership. I think voters should be able to see the evidence behind mine.

01

Public governance

Appointed to the Upper Grand District School Board in December 2023 to fill an Orangeville trustee vacancy.

Selected by fellow trustees as Vice-Chair in July 2025 and again in November 2025.

Experience working within a public board where decisions involve budgets, policy, competing needs and public accountability.

02

Community leadership

Founder of the Dufferin County Canadian Black Association in 2020.

Chair of Shelburne's Anti-Black Racism, Racism and Discrimination Task Force.

The task force delivered 34 recommendations to Shelburne Council.

03

Professional experience

More than 20 years in financial services.

Leadership experience in business continuity and third-party disaster readiness.

Work centred on risk, dependencies, planning, budgets and what happens when systems are disrupted.

04

Recognition

King Charles III Coronation Medal recipient.

Named among 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women.

Author of The Distinctive Leader.

A note on sourcing. Where possible, individual claims are tied to credible public sources. Collective decisions of a board or task force are not presented as the work of one person, and the appointed trustee seat is described precisely. The campaign reviews every public claim against its verification register before publishing.
